[00:01:11] Oh, welcome back to soul preneur scaling stories and to the final part of the three part series on burnout. If you missed it, the other two, just look back. There are the ones right before this one episode, I think 46 and 47.

[00:01:29] In those episodes, we defined burnout. I talked about all sorts of myths around what burnout is. 

[00:01:36] I gave you a bunch of signs of what to look for for burnout in online service providers. I talked about what the real problem is in burnout. I talked about our research backed factors that actually underlie burnout. And I gave you an overview of the steps to go from burnout, to balance in your business. 

[00:01:55] Now, today, today we are diving all into all [00:02:00] things practical. So it's a very practical focus about burnout in your business. So shall we get into some of the practical ways to never be burnt out in your online service provider business? Again? So let's talk about. The balanced way versus the burnout way. And I'm going to talk about this and a few different specific examples. 

[00:02:26] So if we really just talk about your client selection, working with your clients and creating your offers. Some examples of how to do this in a way that will lead to burnout is saying yes to every project, every task and every request. Whether you enjoy them or not. If you remember back in the episode before this, we really talked about your unique magic and making sure that this is at the center of everything that you do. 

[00:02:53] And when you are not aligned on this, then you're going to feel burnout. The burnout way of [00:03:00] bringing on clients is signing on any and all clients, indiscriminately, even when the red flags are already waving. I'm sure you've had it. We've all had experience with this. And I have to not going to lie. Um, You know, on your discovery call when there are some red flags and sometimes you're just like, I really just want to make some money or, you know, X, Y, Z, there are reasons. 

[00:03:21] Let me just bring them on anyways. It never ends well. The burnout way is taking hours to do your tasks and things that used to take you half the time. Why? Because you're procrastinating. Why? Because you're feeling unmotivated. You're feeling frustrated. You're feeling bored. These are not tasks that lay you up. 

[00:03:40] They are not things that are in your zone of genius. They're not your unique magic. You are over then. They are not aligned anymore. So instead the balanced way. Of working with your clients of bringing them on

[00:03:52] the balanced way of organizing your offer suite is having a clear framework and boundaries around your offers that [00:04:00] protects your energy and your nervous system. Also by the way, this allows you to serve your clients at the best level possible and charge accordingly. Because you've really designed something really, really amazing to offer them. The balanced way. Of getting clients is having complete clarity on exactly who your dream clients are and trusting yourself to confidently say no to those who aren't. Because you're not in scarcity and you know, what's going to happen. 

[00:04:31] If you take them on, you know, it's not going to end well. And then finally the balanced way of running your business and having offers that you're having offers that challenge you in the best way possible that excite you and that you're so passionate about. You're so passionate about what you do that you don't even notice the time that goes by and you can do them really quick. 

[00:04:48] There's no more procrastinating. None of this. Because you will love what you do. And how about sales and marketing? What's the difference between the burnout way and the balanced way of sales and [00:05:00] marketing. The burnout way. Is when you do things like having no marketing plans, switching marketing platforms constantly where one month you're focusing on Instagram the next year on LinkedIn, the next year you're going to work on Pinterest and then you're going to be a blogger. 

[00:05:15] There's no focus or purpose, and this is a chaotic and ineffective cycle for your business. Whereas the balanced way and your sales and marketing. Is to have a simple system. Where every layer is aligned with your dream life, vision, it's aligned with your values and aligned with your natural strengths. 

[00:05:36] So not only are your offers aligned in all of those areas, but your marketing plan is as well. So every step from visibility to nurturing, to connecting further to sales calls feels nourishing is effective and allows you to feel peaceful and abundant at the same time, because it's an alignment. So you actually look forward. Forward to doing them. [00:06:00] 

[00:06:00] And then if we move on to service delivery, the burnout way. Of delivering your services. Is when every step of your delivery is manual and it's different for every client it's done from memory. You have no process. So there are mistakes. You have extra stress, you drop the balls on things going on. Cause you forget, and then you lose countless hours. By doing unnecessary work because there's nothing documented. 

[00:06:27] You don't have a process where as the balanced way. Of delivering your services is having a process, having clear boundaries, setting expectations from the beginning, knowing what your flow is, and this allows you to support yourself and your nervous system again, while delivering a really high level of service to your clients. 

[00:06:46] So you both feel nourished. And then finally the, with your admin, with your backend. The burnout way of your advent is this last minute scrambling to post on social media. Not [00:07:00] asking for a testimonial because you totally forgot to you miss out on that opportunity. You miss out on wanting to apply for some podcasts because you dropped the ball on that. You forgot to look for the application and your growth is being damaged. 

[00:07:15] Every single time you do something like this. Whereas the balanced way is having a big picture, having systems to support you, having processes. So you don't have to remember everything. So you're being supported in a way that supports how you personally work best because it is different for everybody. That's the balanced way on how to do your abdomen. 

[00:07:38] So you can see and all of these different examples. And if you are here listening to this, I am sure that you're doing at least one of these in the burnout way, how it can be so much easier. How it can feel so much more supported how your business can just flow. How you get to release so much of this mental [00:08:00] strain that you're putting on yourself. And how that has such an effect on your mental health, on your physical health. And how all of this can really mean that you never have to experience burnout again. 

[00:08:14] So in addition to all of these things,

[00:08:17] The next piece. Of support comes from yourself. It's the inner work. It's the embodiment and the mindset piece. I talked about this in. Part two. Episode 47. I believe of this serious. And I'm going to reiterate some of this now dive a little bit deeper onto it. So. In order to. Have a balanced and thriving business, you need to embody this business. You need to have self-trust and confidence. Y because. Doubts. Imposter syndrome. 

[00:08:51] This is all part of the journey. So the ability to move through your doubts, the ability to keep going to stay in your [00:09:00] conviction is found through this inner work it's found through deepening your own intuition, and that helps you to trust yourself. To start making decisions and following your intuition. 

[00:09:11] So you build up your confidence. By using tools, things like the mindset practices that I learned in my PhD program in clinical psychology that I share with my clients. By the sematic work that we do together by the energetics, all of these things support your. Growth in your own, self-trust in your confidence. 

[00:09:33] And this is key to running a business and aligned business, a business that supports and nurtures you. 

[00:09:42] And then the second piece of this is the embodiment piece of it. And this is really embodying the CEO within you. It's believing in yourself before you have seen success, because you need to believe that the success is already yours. Uh, in order to obtain it. A lot of times, we need to see something to believe it. 

[00:09:58] This is a case where you need [00:10:00] to believe first in order to see it. 

[00:10:03] So you need both, you need both the strategy and the inner work for a successful business for this abundant balanced business. It's the integration of both pieces would really makes it really beautiful, which is what I love so much. Because let's say what happens if you're only do the strategy and no inner work, what can happen is you get trapped into this belief where. Oh, no, I just need a better strategy. 

[00:10:28] I just need a better strategy. And you're chasing these strategies. And when really it's the self-belief piece, it's the inner worship gates, the trust, it's all of that. It's having the conviction to carry it forward. That's the thing that's stopping your success. And then on the flip side, if you're like, oh, I got this inner work piece. 

[00:10:47] I have all the confidence. I have all this all trust and you're like, I don't need strategy. What happens in that case is that you don't have any direction. You feel very scattered are going here and there, everything is unclear. And your growth has been [00:11:00] slow because there's nothing to guide you. You don't have a structure to have. Supporting that inner work pieces. 

[00:11:08] So you need both, you need both the strategy and the inner work to have a balanced. Business. And then the last piece of this is.

[00:11:18] This aligned mentorship piece. Why do I keep harping on this? Why do I think it's crucial? It is so crucial to have a coach, to have a mentor, to have somebody because an aligned mentor empowers you to learn, to think strategically and shift your perspective. 

[00:11:33] So you start to see challenges as opportunities and you get to boost your competence this way. And then as you tackle these challenges and you achieve goals with the support of this person, you begin to trust your abilities more. So everything in your business is accelerated. When you have somebody supporting you when you have the support, when you have somebody helping to build you up, when you have somebody guiding you. Through the [00:12:00] steps and. 

[00:12:02] It results in you having a business that is. I aligned with you. So you don't have those six factors from the last time that the last. Episode that lead to burnout. You're preventing you don't have any of that. You don't have burnout. Because you have a business that is in alignment with all of those factors in yourself and, you know, Within your core, how to tackle these things. 

[00:12:28] You can see it quicker when things start to come up. You get to then, you know, coach yourself out of it. You get to build up these skills and do it so much faster. It is such a faster way to build a business. Than it is to do it on your own. It is a supported way is really a beautiful way. 

[00:12:50] So you have a choice. When it comes to burnout. When it comes to how you, if you're listening to this, this, because you are experiencing this, right? So you have a choice where [00:13:00] you can stay trapped here. You can stay trapped in your bone out pattern. You can try to figure it out on your own, navigating the ups and downs that come along with this misalignment between your values and your business, you can kind of guess at your next steps. Kind of like you're in the dark kind of feeling, you know, and then instead of the black shirt you thought you put on and you really had this Navy blue shirt with the black pants and everything looks weird. 

[00:13:19] So. You know, you can go down that route. You can continue to offer services that don't let you up. You can be in analysis. Paralysis is trying to figure out what the heck do I do? How do I charge this what's going on? Continue on with the mediocre clients. All of these things, you can continue that way, or you can commit to yourself. 

[00:13:35] You can honor your potential. You can get real results. You can grow your balanced business intentionally. You can peacefully grow your profit. You can decrease your work hours. You can take powerful action. That's aligned with your vision, your values and your strength. To propel your business forward with ease. It's up to you. It is up to you with what you want to do from this point forward. So in these three [00:14:00] episodes. I focused on burnout. 

[00:14:01] We have gone through a bunch of stuff. We have talked about what burnout really is. It's not just working too much. It's really this misalignment. On the six factors. 

[00:14:14] We talked about myths around burnout and how you can't just holiday yourself out of it. How it's really, there's a root cause going on there. We talked about the signs of burnout, how to see it in service providers in particular. What the real problem underlying burnout is those six factors. And today we talked about in this episode, the steps to go from really practical steps to go from burnout to balanced. So, again, the choice is yours, what you want to do from here on out.
